Common questions

Where are my records stored?

On your device. Nothing is uploaded, and there are no accounts to sign in to. That means the app works with no signal — in a barn, a back pasture, anywhere. See the privacy policy for the full detail.

How do I back up my records?

Use the export option in the app and save the file somewhere safe. If your device is lost and you have no backup and no export, the records are gone — there is no copy on a server to restore from. Exporting every so often is worth the two minutes.

Can I use it for animals other than cattle and goats?

Yes. There are built-in setups for several common animals, and you can add your own in about thirty seconds — name them, say what you call the young, and set gestation if you want breeding dates calculated. Donkeys, sheep, pigs, rabbits, poultry and more all work.

Can my spouse or family use it on their phone too?

Not yet. Records currently live on one device. Sharing across phones is planned.

Do I have to pay?
